The tenth refinery of phase 19 is one of the gas refineries of South Pars, which was created to refine natural gas from the South Pars gas field. These refineries are located in Bushehr province – Bandar Asalouye.

Phase 19 of South Pars includes four (3+1) offshore platforms including 21 (15+6) wells at a distance of 110 km from Kangan coast, two lines of 32-inch offshore gas transmission pipelines with an approximate length (each line) of 110 km, two 4-inch marine pipeline for transporting monoethylene glycol solution with an approximate length (each line) of 110 km, a 36-inch marine pipeline for gas condensate terminal with an approximate length of 6 km, and two 18-inch cold marine pipelines (Inconel 625) between satellite platforms And the main one has a total length of approximately 15 kilometers.

The development of phase 19 of South Pars is very important due to its location in the border block with the North Gonbad field in Qatar, because the migration of gas to Qatar and the delay in the development of this field cause the rival country to take more of Iran’s share. This sensitivity, however, could not convince the previous government to speed up the development of this phase, which is equal to 2 conventional phases, and assign priority to the development of this phase.

Phase 19 of South Pars is undoubtedly one of the leading projects of South Pars, which has set unique records. Petropars, Iran Petropars, and marine engineering and construction companies, the contractors of this project started their work in a situation where the oil industry in The strict conditions of the embargo and the limitation of financial resources and the stoppage of the arrival of some equipment had doubled the problems of the implementation of this super project.

The goal of the implementation of phase 19 of South Pars is to produce 56.6 million cubic meters of rich gas, 75 thousand barrels of gas condensate, 400 tons of sulfur and also the annual production of 1.05 tons of liquefied gas “LPG” (propane and butane), one million tons of ethane. The purpose is to provide feed for petrochemical units.

Development plan for phase 19 of the South Pars gas field in June 2019 by Pars Oil and Gas Company (POGC) and in the form of an EPC contract to a consortium consisting of Petropars Limited and Petropars Iran (for the implementation of dry facilities and drilling operations) and Facilities Engineering Company Marine of Iran (for the construction and implementation of offshore platforms and submarine pipelines) and was assigned under the leadership of Petropars Company.

The South Pars Phase 19 dry facility is located on the Persian Gulf, in Tembek region, with an area of about 218.5 hectares, between the South Pars Phases 11 and 12 refineries and in the Pars 2 Energy Special Economic Zone. The offshore wells and platforms of this project are located at a distance of about 120 kilometers from the blue shores of the Persian Gulf.

In this refinery, after sweetening, sour gas is injected into the sixth line of the national pipeline for internal use in 4 rows of gas processing. The gas condensate separated in the refinery is also exported through the submarine pipeline and SPM, and the produced LPG is also used for export or use in domestic petrochemicals.

Due to the remarkable progress of the 19th phase development plan of South Pars gas field in 2013, this project was considered as the first priority for launch. It is hoped that the initial stages of launching this phase will be realized in 2014.

South Pars Phase 19 project is the first project in which Petropars Iran plays a role as an EPC contractor as the executive arm of Petropars.
