This refinery is located in the western part of site number 1 of South Pars gas field development project, near the eastern exit of Asalouye city. The daily production capacity of this refinery is 50 million cubic meters of gas, 80 thousand barrels of gas condensate and 400 tons of sulfur, one million tons of ethane and 1.05 million tons of liquefied gas annually.
In terms of design, phases 17 and 18 are a complete refinery that produces all value-added products in addition to gas condensate, sulfur and sweet gas. This refinery can also produce value-added products such as ethane, propane and butane. The important thing about this refinery is to improve the quality requirements in the production of by-products, and fortunately, the products produced by the refinery are of a higher quality than the design standard, which is due to the reforms that have been implemented in the production process of the refinery and the necessary changes.
Phases 17 and 18 have the capacity to produce 50 million cubic meters of sweet gas, 80,000 barrels of gas condensate, 2,560 tons of ethane, 400 tons of sulfur, 2,000 tons of propane, and 1,250 tons of butane.
Currently, the refinery’s feed is being received entirely from the platforms. Fortunately, good arrangements have been made for this refinery and 4 platforms have been considered to provide feed to the refinery and these platforms meet all the needs of the refinery according to the design and we have no problem in providing feed and currently receive 54 million cubic meters of gas daily from the platforms will be.
On the other hand, it is possible to collect feed from the two inter-phase lines from the fourth refinery (phases 6/7/8) and it is possible to supply and transfer feed to the sixth refinery in programmable time frames.
