Development of South Pars gas field phase 14, onshore facilities

Details of South Pars Refinery Phase 14 Superproject

South Pars Phase 14 Refinery is the 13th refinery of the South Pars common gas field, and with its completion, no more refineries will be built for this common field.

The platforms of this phase were already installed in their position and the four rows of gas sweetening of this refinery were operational from 1400 to 1401 at the same time as the 13th government began.

The credit for the implementation of the 14th phase of South Pars mega project for drilling, construction and installation of offshore platforms, supply and implementation of marine pipelines and marine facilities was equal to 5.2 billion dollars, and the return on investment of the construction of the refinery will be 2.7 billion dollars in less than one year. .

According to the announcement of the National Iranian Oil Company, with the exploitation of this phase, daily 50 million cubic meters of city gas (methane) and 75 thousand barrels of gas condensate and 400 tons of sulfur, as well as one million tons of liquefied natural gas (LPG) and one million tons of ethane annually to provide food Petrochemical units are produced.

70% of the equipment of Phase 14 refinery is domestically made

This phase, which was dubbed the most Iranian phase of South Pars, broke the record of using Iranian equipment in similar projects with the use of 70% of Iranian equipment.

Mohammad Hossein Motjali, CEO of Pars Oil and Gas Company, says about the features of this project: More than 70% of the design and construction of phase 14 is domestic and it is known as the most Iranian refinery. South Pars Phase 14 is known as the last onshore refinery in South Pars common gas field. This phase has 44 wells, from which the produced gas is transported to the phase 14 refinery using two 210 km long offshore pipelines.

South Pars Phase 14 Refinery, the construction of which was delayed for many years, with the beginning of the 13th government in 1400, the first line of gas sweetening of this refinery was launched. In November 1401, the second row of sweetening and now the third row has been operational.

The unique features of the most Iranian gas refinery in the country

This refinery is located at a distance of 105 km from the marine sector and on the Kangan coast of Bushehr province, and is responsible for sweetening the sour gas extracted from the offshore platforms of this phase.

For the construction of this refinery in an area of 170 hectares, 40,000 tons of metal structures were used and 6,000 kilometers of cables were laid, which is the same amount of cable as the distance from Iran to Germany. Also, 3 million inches of piping was done for the construction of this refinery. The concrete pouring for this huge structure was 6 times the concrete structure of Milad Tower in Tehran and equal to 360 thousand cubic meters.

For the construction of this South Pars refinery, the number of manpower has been working in a variable manner, but at the peak of the operation, about 9,000 people were working in this mega project, but it is expected that with the operation and completion of the development operation, the number of people will reach 1,100 people, which is It is the standard force for operating similar refineries.
